Syncfusion Launches Multiple Controls for Xamarin.Forms

Research Triangle Park, N.C.— Syncfusion, Inc., a developer solutions company, today announced a new suite of UI and file format components designed to support Xamarin.Forms: Essential Studio for Xamarin. Xamarin.Forms enables developers to build native user interfaces for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone from a single, shared C# codebase while maintaining access to all of the native APIs on each platform.

As part of this launch, Syncfusion is exhibiting at the Xamarin Evolve 2014 conference October 8-10 in Atlanta, Georgia, and the partnership is being highlighted by Xamarin CTO Miguel de Icaza as part of his Xamarin.Forms preview. Conference attendees can stop by the Syncfusion booth to see live demos of the controls and discuss ideas and questions with a Syncfusion engineer.

Essential Studio for Xamarin will contain six popular Syncfusion controls. The Chart, Gauge, and TreeMap controls include flexible features for creating stunning user interfaces. Syncfusion file format libraries XlsIO, DocIO, and PDF, which include the ability to read, write, and edit Excel, Word, and PDF files, will also be available.

“Syncfusion provides a complete suite of chart, gauge, and file format controls that many developers already love,” said Joseph Hill, Xamarin director of developer relations. “We are excited that Essential Studio support for Xamarin.Forms will enable C# developers to bring graphically rich apps to the major mobile platforms using a shared codebase."

Xamarin is a leading provider of solutions for cross-platform mobile development, used by over 750,000 developers from more than 100 Fortune 500 companies to accelerate the creation and testing of mission-critical consumer and enterprise apps. Xamarin.Forms is Xamarin’s latest addition to their platform.

“Xamarin.Forms offers a streamlined way to share code assets across multiple platforms,” said Daniel Jebaraj, Syncfusion vice president. “With the added benefit of our controls, .NET developers can deliver a truly native experience for any device.”
