AI applications often need interactive interfaces, not just text-only responses. In this webinar, Syncfusion® Software Engineer Prabhavathi Kannan demonstrates how [Syncfusion A2UI Composer](https://www.syncfusion.com/explore/a2ui-composer/ "Syncfusion A2UI Composer"), an AI agent, and the React runtime work together to design, process, and render AI-generated interfaces using supported Syncfusion components.

## Webinar highlights

In this session, you'll learn how to:

- Understand the design-time and runtime roles in the A2UI workflow.
- Generate, preview, and refine an interface using Syncfusion A2UI Composer.
- Inspect and reuse a generated A2UI definition.
- Configure an agent to return structured A2UI messages.
- Validate messages and render supported Syncfusion React components.
- Process data updates and user actions.

## Demo: Building an AI-assisted flight-booking experience with Syncfusion A2UI

The webinar demonstrates a three-stage flight-booking workflow, from designing the interfaces in A2UI Composer to rendering them in a React application:

- **Flight search:** Collect trip, traveler, and contact details.
- **Flight results:** Display available flights for comparison.
- **Booking confirmation:** Present the itinerary, passenger information, and booking details.

The demonstration connects Composer-generated definitions to a Python agent and a React application. User actions are sent back to the agent, allowing the application to move from one interface surface to the next.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Can interfaces be nested?

Yes. A2UI supports nested component structures, letting you build more complex interfaces with parent-child relationships, such as cards containing forms, layouts with multiple sections, and grouped controls. The nesting follows the component hierarchy defined in the A2UI definition, while the application runtime renders it using supported components.

### Is this Node.js/React? If yes, when was that selected?

A2UI Composer is a separate UI design application used to generate, preview, and refine A2UI interface definitions. As an end user of Composer, you don't need to choose React, Angular, Blazor, or .NET MAUI while generating a design. You choose the platform at runtime, when the application uses the appropriate A2UI renderer for React, Angular, Blazor, or .NET MAUI.

### Just to make sure I understand, is the implementation workflow to generate a prompt that describes the needed interface and then pass it to the LLM to generate the JSON definition? Or are the JSON files typically predefined?

Both workflows are fully supported and actively used, depending on your architectural needs. A2UI provides flexibility between on-the-fly dynamic generation and predefined interface definitions.

For example, you can use A2UI Composer to generate a JSON definition from a natural-language prompt, or you can create and maintain JSON definitions yourself and have the agent use them at runtime. Many real-world applications use predefined definitions for consistency, governance, and reuse, while others leverage AI-generated definitions for more dynamic scenarios.

### You are generating so many prompts. Doesn't it cost a lot?

It depends on how you use A2UI. In many production scenarios, you generate interface definitions once, review them, and reuse them, so you don't generate a new UI from scratch for every request. You can also use predefined A2UI definitions and let the AI focus only on data and workflow decisions, which significantly reduces token usage and cost. A2UI supports both dynamic generation and predefined templates, allowing you to choose the approach that best fits your cost, governance, and flexibility requirements.

### Can it create Blazor code, too?

Yes. A2UI supports Blazor in addition to React, Angular, and .NET MAUI. However, A2UI does not generate Blazor component code files directly. Instead, it generates framework-agnostic A2UI interface definitions that the Blazor A2UI renderer renders at runtime using supported Syncfusion Blazor components.

### I am using ChatGPT Plus in combination with GitHub Copilot in VS Code. I think that your example will help me design a UI and export the JSON file to ChatGPT and let my normal workflow take over. Right?

Yes, that's absolutely a valid workflow. You can use A2UI Composer to design and refine the interface, export the generated A2UI JSON definition, and then incorporate that definition into your existing ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or custom development workflow.

The key point is that A2UI JSON serves as a structured interface definition. You can use it as a design artifact, a runtime artifact, or simply as a starting point for further development. Composer doesn't replace your existing tools; it complements them by helping you define the UI structure faster.

### Do you have any videos or blog posts for generating code for .NET MAUI?

Yes. We currently have .NET MAUI A2UI documentation, including getting-started guidance and supported components. While this webinar focused on React, the same A2UI concepts apply to .NET MAUI as well.

### How large are the server resources it uses?

A2UI itself is lightweight and doesn't require significant server resources. Resource requirements depend primarily on the AI model, agent orchestration, data sources, and application workload you run behind it.

For example, in today's demo, the A2UI agent was a Python service that loaded interface definitions and exchanged A2UI messages with the client. Actual infrastructure sizing depends on factors such as request volume, model provider, response complexity, and backend integrations.

In many cases, the A2UI layer adds minimal overhead compared to the LLM and business services it connects to.

## Conclusion

A2UI separates interface descriptions from framework-specific rendering. The agent returns structured A2UI messages, while the React runtime validates and processes them. The application retains control over supported Syncfusion components, data, user interactions, rendering, and business logic.
