How to use licenses.licx in a C++/CLI application

So we just purchased a bunch of copies of the Tools product for Windows Forms and are having licensing issues using it inside a C++/CLI application within VS 2008 (the evaluation version worked fine of course).

So we've added licenses.licx to our project, but when I pull up the properties for that file I don't have an option to choose "Embedded Resource". Instead I have "Managed Resource" and "Resource Compiler Tool". If I choose "Managed Resource" it fails. If I choose "Resource Compiler Tool" I get

error RC2135 : file not found: SYNCFUSION.CORE

All of the hits I can find on how to do this are for C# or VB. What about C++/CLI???

I believe we have added the correct project references to the project although it is hard to know!

I figured it out thanks to this link:

As far as I can tell this is never mentioned in the documentation.

Hi,

Please refer to the following KB on how you can add the licenses.licx file.

http://help.syncfusion.com/support/uploads/VisualCppLicensing.mht

The genlic.zip in this KB can be downloaded from the following location.
http://files.syncfusion.com/support/uploads/genlic.zip

Also we will take steps to include this in the Documentation. This will be available in the Documentation in the next release. Please try this and let me know if this helps.

Nanda
