License error everytime I start my application

In addition I read the posts about this problem and cannot find any license files except the ones installed under the \Program Files\SyncFusion directory. None of my directories are read only. Where is the license file supose to be? >Every time I start my application I get the licenseing error and hit fix it. Open Start Menu --> All Programs --> Syncfusion --> Essential Studio 4.2.0.37 --> Utilities --> License Manager This utility will give you a clear detail of your licensing with Syncfusion. Please send us a screen shot of this utility. Please hide the key found in the image using the Paint. Open a new notepad file. Type the following, Syncfusion.Core.Licensing.LicensedComponent, Syncfusion.Core and save it as licenses.licx file in the project directory. Add this file to the project. Right click on the item and then change its build action property to be embedded resource. Now build the project. Please try this and let me know if this helps. Here is the license file, notice the key is listed twice. Also the unlock key is the same as the key. Note that when I am in Visual Studio the help was installed twice. I tried as you suggested with creating the license file. I assumed you wanted me to add it to the Resource Files (allthough I also tried at the top level). I right click and select properties but do not see embeded resource anywhere. I get a dialog that is include in the screen shot. Hi Nanda, I am also facing the same problem. I am also not able to see the option "embeded resource" when I right click the license file. Hi, I never recieved the new key. What do I need to do to get it? Can I try unistalling (Syncfusion only I hope, not MSC) and using the same key? Does having MSVC++ 2003 and VS@005 both installed have anything to do with this? Hi Bill, I regret for the inconvenience caused. You will be sent a key before today. Please let me know the OS version which you are using. Can you check the following things, 1) Please refer the image licenses.gif. Please click on the ShowAll files in the SolutionExplorer. 2) You will see a licenses.licx file in the tree. If you do not find that file please add a notepad file as said above. Make that BuildAction property to EmbeddedResource. 3) If that is not solved still, open the *.exe.licenses file from the obj/debug/ folder. You will find the entries as listed in the attached image exelicenses.gif. If you donot find the same, please send us the screen shot of that file. Hi Nanda, Still I am facing the license error problem. Let me clearly explian the problem that i am facing. I have Syncfusion version 3.3.0.0 and visual studio 2003. 1) I created .NET control in which I used syncfusion grid. 2) Then I hosted the .NET control in MFC application.(Test.exe) 3) Each time I run the application, its asking me to fix the license error. Once I click on ''fix it'' button, then I am able to see the .NET control which is having syncfusion control in MFC view. 4) As you suggested I went through the knowledge base article how to embbed license file for c++ applications. 5)while generating the license file using the following command lc /target:Test.exe /complist:licenses.licx /i:Syncfusion.Core.dll, I am getting an licensing error dialog which is attached and when I click ''Run the syncfusion Licensing Enabler Utility'', it is generating ''Test.exe.licenses'' file. 6) Then I copied the Test.exe.licenses to application directory and I rebuild the application. Still I am getting the license error. 7) I am suspecting the arguments that I have given to lc command may be wrong. Hi Nanda, The knowledge base line you mentioned is for Managed c++, but mycase is UnManaged code(i.e MFC). is there a different procedure for generating the key. Hi, I never got the licensing file until I called my sales rep. I ended up bying the essential grid control and I uninstalled the eval software. I installed the download that I got from my purchase and used the new licensing code. I am still having the same problem. I also went to the link you suggested but I cannot find a program called lc. I''m also having the same problem. However, it seems one day it is there and another it is not. I think that Synconfusion needs to clean up this license stuff.

Do you have a Direct-Trac support incident that we can look at? Our licensing system is very simple and needs only a single entry in the licx file. We currently have issues with Managed C++ that we are working to resolve but other than that we do not have any reported problems. Please provide additional details.
