Essential Studio 2008 Volume 2 WPF Edition

Essential Studio for WPF includes three user interface (UI) product packages for the Windows Presentation Foundation platform. This roadmap details the changes and enhancements to these UI packages that will be made available as part of Essential Studio 2008 Volume 2 (Scheduled to be released on April, 7th, 2008).

The UI products included in Essential Studio for WPF are

• Essential Tools
• Essential Chart
• Essential Grid (first version will be available in early May, 2008)

Release Cycle

Syncfusion releases a new version of Essential Studio for WPF three times every calendar year. Each new release includes bug fixes and enhancements. In addition, new products are also added to the studio in some cases.

Roadmap for Essential Tools WPF

Full fledged docking component will support Visual Studio Multiple Document Interface (MDI) behavior (Tabbed as well as normal MDI) in this version. Vista Flip-3D view of MDI Windows will be added for switching of MDI Windows. RibbonControlAdv will be complete with all new features and XBAP support.

New enriched controls like TabControlAdv, TreeViewAdv will be added in this version. A set of Editor controls like NumericTextBox, MaskedEdit etc., will be added.

The DateTimeEdit control will have a Watch mode and the ColorPicker control will include an eye dropper.

Roadmap for Essential Chart WPF

Essential Chart for WPF along with its rich existing features, will provide complete 3D support for all chart types along with chart rotation. Users can experience substantial improvement in performance in loading large number of points.

Experience the enhanced look and feel with interlaced grid lines and themes support. Essential Chart for WPF will also include a Toolbar to enable interaction with the chart.

Roadmap for Essential Grid WPF

Essential Grid for WPF will feature support for complete cell based customization, excellent performance and other great features, that Essential Grid users would love. It will ship with several out of the box cell types and will be extensible with your own cell types. Existing Essential Grid users can expect an easy transition with an object model that borrows from the rock solid Essential Grid for Windows Forms Grid platform.
