Drawing Text

There is plenty of support for customizing the text formatting and layout in the PDF documents generated using Essential PDF.

Essential PDF has support for drawing large paragraphs of text that can span multiple pages.

Essential PDF supports various options to Format the text in the document. The following are some string formats available.

You can also add Bullets and lists for the text to categorize and make it more readable.

Essential PDF has indirect support for rendering RTF text. You can export the RTF text as Metafile image or as a Bitmap image. Rendering as metafile will provide high resolution and make the text searchable in Adobe, while rendering as Bitmap will be much faster.

Middle eastern languages such as Hebrew and Arabic are written predominantly in right-to-left fashion. Numbers are written with the most significant digit left-most, just as in European or other left-to-right text. Languages written in left-to-right scripts are often mixed; in so the complete document is bidirectional in nature, ie., a mix of both right-to-left (RTL) and left-to-right (LTR) fashion. Text written in the Hebrew and Arabic languages are often referred to as bidirectional, or "bidi" for short. You can easily create documents with such text using Essential PDF.

Essential PDF has support for rendering text within columns, also called newspaper layout.

Essential PDF has support for various Fonts and RTL language. Essential PDF supports three types of Fonts for drawing text in the PDF document - Standard Fonts, True Type Fonts and CJK Fonts (based on Adobe Asian Language Pack).
