Design Time Features
ASP.NET Essential Grid comes with a fully functional Design Time that lets you setup the grid's style and grid Behavior. Data binding can be easily setup and the bound previewed and customized through the designer.

Smart Tags provide quick access to the most important properties of the grid in Design Time. The following can be achieved using Smart Tags:

Set up of datasource and binding of the datasource to the grouping grid.

Auto Format to apply in-built schemes to the grid.

Access to various support and documentation resources, such as, Online Documentation, Evaluation Center and Forums Support.

Set up of grid Behavior to enable callbacks, allow sorting, editing, adding new records, and selecting the Data Source Caching Mode.

Enable the Edit Template command.

The Auto Format command lets you select and preview various built-in schemes on the grid. The built-in choices include popular schemes such as Microsoft Office 2007 and Microsoft Windows XP look.
