The new Essential Diagram web server control enables diagrams to be rendered as static or interactive images on a web page. Diagram interactivity is achieved through image maps and JavaScript on the client side and diagram-pertinent event handlers on the server side.

Essential Diagram is integrated with the Essential Scripting Library to support diagram creation with scriptable interactivity. The scripting feature allows end users to define behaviors for diagram entities at runtime using one of the supported scripting languages. The scripting languages currently supported are C#, Visual Basic .NET and JScript .NET.
