Recap: Xamarin Dev Days at Syncfusion – 2016 Oct

This past Saturday, Syncfusion was honored to host Xamarin Dev Days for the Xamarin developer community at our office in Morrisville, NC. We had two great speakers leading the sessions: Dan Rigby and Ed Snider.

Rigby is a Xamarin Technical Solutions Professional at Microsoft, a software engineer, and a former consultant with a passion for building high-quality, native mobile apps using Xamarin. His experience with C# and .NET spans almost a decade, including software development projects that range from travel booking systems to financial trading platforms and digital retail.

Snider is a senior software engineer, speaker, author, and Xamarin MVP based in northern Virginia near Washington DC. He has a passion for mobile design and development, and regularly speaks about Xamarin and Windows app development at local user groups and community events.

After a quick introduction, Dan started off the day with his “Introduction to Xamarin.Forms” presentation. Attendance was good, with about 25 attendees from across the mobile development community of the Raleigh-Durham area and beyond.

Each attendee received a free license of Essential Studio for Xamarin as a thank-you for attending. If you’d like to check it out yourself, download a free trial of our recently updated studio.

We look forward to continued events with Xamarin and to releasing further Xamarin components for cross-platform mobile development. The next event we are hosting is coming up in just two weeks: Xamarin Dev Days Chennai on October 15.
