Interlaced Grid

You can now interlace major and minor grids on the x and y-axis. Fill color can also be specified.

Watermark Support

Essential Chart now allows users to add watermarks to chart areas. The watermark can be a text, image, or a combination of both. Font color and the position of the watermark can also be customized.

Minor Gridlines

Essential Chart provides support for minor gridlines. You can differentiate between major and minor gridlines using different colors and styles.

AutoFormat support

Along with its existing palette support, Essential Chart now provides support for various AutoFormats, which can change the entire appearance of the chart’s background, gridlines, and font color with a single click.

Improved Divide-Area Support

The divide area has been improved for Pie, Pyramid, and Funnel charts to separately show the series title under each section.

Space Between Points in 2-D Mode

Now, you can specify spacing between points in addition to spacing between series.

Essential Tools

Custom Color-Schemes for Docking Manager and TabcontrolAdv

Custom color-scheme support for the Office 2007 style has been extended for Docking Controls and TabControlAdv. With the latest version of Essential Studio, you can set custom color schemes for all controls in the Essential Tools Package. Managed-colors support is available for the Docking Package, and now you can set managed colors for dock-enabled controls in docked or floating state.

Aero Theme for Ribbon Form

Vista Aero theme support is now available in Ribbon and Office 2007 forms. With these latest forms, you can create applications with a Vista-like look, which includes borders with a glassy appearance.

Persistence for Ribbon Control

Persistence support for RibbonControlAdv is included in the latest version of Essential Studio. Similar to serialization support for Menu and Docking components in Essential Tools Package, you can now load a saved workspace with this new feature.

QAT Attributes

With the new version of Essential Studio, you can view the attributes assigned to tool-strip items that become visible after addition to QAT(Quick Access Toolbar). There is no extra coding necessary to show attributes, such as Super ToolTip or Accelerator keys in the QAT.

Load EDD Document through Designer

Essential Diagram now provides support for loading a diagram document (EDD) through the designer.

Smart Tag

Smart tag support, listing the most common properties used in the designer, has been implemented for the Diagram control.

Size-to-text Support for Label

Now text inside a label won't flow out of a diagram symbol or shape. It will automatically wrap inside.

Free-hand Tool

Essential Diagram now provides a new Free-hand tool in addition to the existing collections of tools.

The Essential Diagram Windows class reference has been completely revamped.
