Gallery

Gallery is a useful control to display a categorized collection of objects in their thumbnail views. It also comes with some good built-in animation during layout of the child items.

Gallery is a useful control to display a categorized collection of objects in their thumbnail views. It also comes with some good built-in animation during layout of the child items.

Visual Mode

Gallery supports a standard mode and a detailed mode. In the standard mode, the items are laid out horizontally with just the thumbnail image and it's text. In the detailed mode, items are laid out vertically one below the other. The detail description of the item is displayed along with the thumbnail view of the item.

Multi-selection support

Gallery control supports multiple selection of items in the gallery.

Templates

Custom Templates can be applied to Gallery control items to add a professional look and feel to the application. Templates can be used to customize a GalleryItem, GalleryGroup or the whole Gallery.

Visual Styles

Gallery control supports some built-in visual styles like Default, Office2007Blue, Office2007Silver, Office2007Black and Blend.

Drag and Drop

Drag and drop is supported in the Gallery Control. The end-user can drag and drop a thumbnail image from one group into another during runtime.

Dynamic Support

Gallery control enables the user to add the GalleryItems at runtime. The size of the items can also be altered during runtime.
