Editing Tools
The comprehensive set of Editing Tools provided by Essential Diagram allow users to work interactively with the Diagram Control for Diagram Building applications.
Besides a slew of built-in tools, custom tools can be defined and added to the diagram controller to provide custom functionalities.

The select tool is used to select multiple diagram nodes, using keyboard shortcuts and mouse drag.

You can also customize the line style of the tracking rectangle that is used to make selections.

The Align tools let you select multiple nodes and apply some relative alignment on the last set of selected nodes, relative to the first selected node.

The Diagram Layout tools can be used for spacing and sizing objects in the diagram.
Space Across - Evenly spaces the selected objects along the X axis.
Space Down - Evenly spaces the selected objects along the Y axis.
Same Width - Sets the width of the selected objects to match the width of the anchor object.
Same Height - Sets the height of the selected objects to match the height of the anchor object.
Same Size - Sets the width and height of the selected objects to match the anchor object.

The Nudge tools enable finer movement of objects on the diagram canvas.
Nudge Up - Moves the selected objects up by one grid unit.
Nudge Down - Moves the selected objects down by one grid unit.
Nudge Left - Moves the selected objects left by one grid unit.

The Node tools can be used for grouping objects and changing their Z-order.
Group Tool - Creates a new group using the currently selected objects.
Ungroup Tool - Ungroups the currently selected group.
Bring to Front - Moves the currently selected object to the top of the Z-order of the layer it belongs to.
Send to Back - Moves the currently selected object to the bottom of the Z-order of the layer it belongs to.
Bring Forward - Moves the currently selected object up by one level in the Z-order of the layer it belongs to.
Send Backward - Moves the currently selected object down by one level in the Z-order of the layer it belongs to.

The Rotate tools can be used for rotating objects in the symbol model.
Rotate Left - Rotates the currently selected objects left by 90 degrees.
Rotate Right- Rotates the currently selected objects right by 90 degrees.
Flip Vertical - Rotates the currently selected objects by 180 degrees around their local Y axis.
Flip Horizontal - Rotates the currently selected objects by 180 degrees around their local X axis.

The View tools can be used for adjusting the view of the diagram.
Pan Tool - Changes the cursor into a hand symbol allowing the user to drag the diagram view port in any direction.

Show Grid - Toggles the visibility of the layout grid.
