Syncfusion sponsored three license giveaways at the Los Angeles Code Camp held on the weekend of October 25. The camp, organized by the Southern California .NET Developers Group, came at an opportune time—as the Microsoft Professional Developers Conference was taking place in LA that following Monday—allowing the camp to lasso in speakers it might not otherwise have snagged.

“They were here from all over the world for the Microsoft [PDC]”, says Maureen Thomas, Member Benefits Chairman for the SoCalDotNet developers group. “We had some actual software authors, and a lot of the Microsoft ‘evangelists’ present.”

Popular topics included Visual Studio 2008, SharePoint, and a lot of interest was garnered by Silverlight 2—especially with speakers such as Li Chen, a Silverlight developer, and Michael Washington, a Microsoft ASP.NET MVP, on hand.

The weekend closed with a Geek dinner, a tradition of the code camp, and a “home-made” concert fueled by Xbox and an edition of the video game “Rock Band”.

The Central Maryland Association of .NET Professionals held its fall Code Camp on October 25, 2008. Over twenty-nine sessions with twenty-one speakers were scheduled, and one lucky attendee went home with a license of Essential Studio 2008. With topics ranging from learning .NET basics to building Facebook applications with Silverlight 2, attendees were given an excellent opportunity to hone their .NET skills.

Licenses for Essential Studio 2008 were given away to three lucky winners at the Capital City .NET User Group Code Camp in Tallahassee, FL. On October 11, 2008, about 177 were in attendance for the Code Camp, held on the campus of Florida State University. At no cost, attendees participated in seminars covering topics ranging from getting starting in .NET development to advanced .NET topics.

Syncfusion is exhibiting at the Microsoft Tech-Ed Developers Conference 2008 event in Orlando, FL, from June 3 to June 6. This event provides more than 615 learning opportunities and a chance to hear Bill Gates give the keynote speech.

Microsoft TechEd Developers, Microsoft’s premier EMEA conference, is designed to provide developers with in-depth technical training, information, and community resources that focus on building software solutions using Microsoft development tools. TechEd Developers is being held in Barcelona, Spain at the CCIB (Centre Convenciones Internacional) from November 5 through November 9. Syncfusion can be found in booth B7.

The event, which runs from April 25-26, 2007, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York, NY will focus on improving the bottom line for financial services industry leaders.
